Rocky Road
Prep: 20 minutes Setting Time: 3 hours approx
This is a perfect Rocky Road recipe in my eyes- It never fails and is a favourite with close friends and family!
What you'll need: - 200g milk chocolate - 100g Dark Chocolate - 4-5 tbsp Golden Syrup - 200g Butter - Mini Marshmallows - Digestive/ Rich Tea Biscuits (crushed up) (Use your own desired amount of mini marshmallows and biscuits, I personally never use more than a full pack of both) 1. Grease a medium sized baking tray. 2. Melt together the butter, chocolate and golden syrup over a low heat, stirring constantly, once all is melted remove from the heat. 3. Put the biscuits in to a freezer bag and smash them up into small pieces. 4. Pour the marshmallows and smashed up biscuits into the melted mixture and mix together, pour the mixture into the tray and place in the fridge. 5. Leave in the fridge for up to 3 hours to set, once set sprinkle with icing sugar if desired to finish it off, it's as easy as that! You can mix this recipe up by adding your own kind of fillings, maltesers, raisons, almonds, your choice! |
Tip: Heat up your spoon before dipping it into the Golden Syrup and it will slide off your spoon easier Tip: Cut your Rocky Road up into square pieces after it has been in the fridge for around 45 minutes instead of when it's completely set, it will be alot easier to cut! |
